Double digit growth for Mexican airport operator
Mexican airport operator OMA (Grupo Aeroportuario del Centro Norte) reports passenger traffic increased 29.6% in 2Q22 compared to 2Q21.
The company says it received 5.9 million passengers in this time period. Domestic passenger traffic increased 34.5% compared to 2Q21 and international passenger traffic decreased.
OMA operates 13 international airports in central and northern Mexico, including Monterrey, Acapulco and Mazatlán.
The commercial space occupancy rate in OMA’s passenger terminals was 89% as of June 30, 2022.
According to OMA, commercial revenues increased 48.5%. Revenue from restaurants and retail increased 61.4% and 74.8% respectively.
