Machu Picchu has been selected the Leading Tourist Attraction in South America at the recent World Travel Awards.
Peru also received two other awards (it was nominated for 20). It was named the Leading Culinary Destination 2022 and the Leading Cultural Destination 2022 in South America.
The World Travel Awards is a private organization now in its 29th year. It conducts surveys based on citizens’ opinions worldwide.
