Ocho Rios airport gets boost from new tourist zone

A surge in flights to Jamaica’s Ian Fleming International Airport in Ocho Rios is expected as the government creates a new high-end tourism zone.

The new tourist corridor will be developed along the island’s northern coast, stretching from Ocho Rios to Port Antonio.

The airport received its first commercial flight in June.

American Airlines will begin non-stop flights from Miami to Ocho Rios in November, its first-ever service to the airport.
