Direct flights planned between Venezuela, Iran
Venezuela is in talks with several countries in an effort to boost its tourism.
In July, Iranian and Venezuelan officials met in Iran and announced the launch of direct flights between Caracas and Tehran. Officials commented on the positive impact this will have on tourism for both countries.
Venezuelan officials have also engaged in talks with Cuba to promote travel between the two nations. Venezuela and Bolivia have also entered an agreement to seal co-operation deals in various sectors including tourism. Finally, after recently re-establishing diplomatic relations, flights between Bogota and Caracas are set to begin.
