Corporación América Airports
Argentine-based airport operator Corporacion America reports promising news for the first quarter of 2022.
Revenues reached US $258.1 million, an increase of 86% over the same time in 2021. This is also 28% below pre-pandemic levels in Q1 2019.
Passenger traffic throughout the 53 airports it operates in six countries (primarily in South America) increased 106% to 13.5 million. This represents 65.5% of Q1 2019 levels.
According to Martin Eurnekian, Corporación America, “Looking ahead, we expect the traffic recovery to continue across our markets, and intend to maintain our lean cost structure. In the near-term, we expect our operations in Europe to benefit from healthy traffic performance this summer, but remain vigilant regarding the geopolitical situation there as well as the shifting macro environment globally.”
