A US $90 million expansion and improvement will soon begin at Quito’s International Airport.

“Thanks to our work in tourist promotion, Quito and Ecuador have become a hot destination. The airport expansion will result in the arrival of many new flights. Quiport and the city are ready to receive the world,” said Andrew O’Brian, president of Corporación Quiport.

The airport work includes increasing the retail space by 11,215 square metres.

Air France recently announced its subsidiary, Joon Airlines, will start a Paris-Quito route.
